SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), followed a sideways trend for the majority of the year. However, from mid-April, SNDK started losing value and even found itself into a decreasing channel, until mid-June, when gaining ground was marked. Currently, SNDK is exchanged at $37.47, which is right between its ranges of MA – 50 ($35.97) and MA – 200 ($44.76).
The April downfall is partly if not mainly explained by the weaker 2012 financial results reported in April, 2012. In 2012, revenues counted for $ 1,205,561,000, while, for the same period in 2011 the financial outcome was higher at $ 1,294,200,000. More importantly, 2012 net income was much lower compared to the previous year. The difference was $109,739,000, a large decrease even for a company of the size of Scan Disk. Moreover, net income per share decreased more than 100%. This is something taken very seriously by shareholders, who are mainly interested in generating maximum returns on their investments.
The latest increases in the price of SNDK is some what justified by the fact that the company just introduced the world’s fastest memory card for smartphones and tablets. The SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card is 8 gigabyte (GB)5 and 16GB capacities carrying MSRPs of $59.99 and $99.99.
Furthermore, recently two IT giants demanded the SSD memory chips.  The memory storage devices have been adopted by Fujitsu (FJTSY.PK) for its recently-announced ultrabooks and by Lenovo (LNVGY.PK). Thus, a greater demand for SanDisk products results in greater revenues and eventually more profits for the organization. This makes the binary option investors to feel better about the company and have larger hopes for a maximization of the returns on their purchases. As a result, binary SNDK have gained ground and is on a positive inclination.
