A Turkish jet was shot down by the Syrian forces, on Friday.
Syria gave no warning before shooting down the F-4 Phantom jet which strayed into its territory, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu declared a firm position punishing this Syrian act. Turkey officially considers the shooting down of one of its military fighter jets by Syria to be a hostile act, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Sunday.
The situation in Syria already seems to be out of control and many even suggest that the country is in a stage of a civil war. Moreover, Turkey stated that its planes was unarmed and was flying in international airspace when it was fired upon.
